# AI Side Panel

> Browser extension for Chrome and other Chromium browsers, built specifically for deal desk and sales ops. It answers questions in the context of the pages you already have open.

## What It Does

The AI Side Panel sits beside the page you are working on. You attach the tabs that matter to a request, ask in plain language, and get an answer grounded in those pages. It is optimized for deal desk and sales ops, where one request spans CRM, contracts, CPQ, tickets and email. The point is what you do not have to do: write a long prompt, paste in background, export files, or go hunting across six tools to reconstruct what happened last time.

## Use Cases

- **Work a request without rebuilding the picture** (Salesforce, Jira, Gmail, Contracts, CPQ, for Deal Desk): One request spans CRM, contracts, CPQ, tickets and email. Attach the tabs it lives on and get the answer plus the process guidance in one place.
- **Ask about an account without opening Salesforce** (Salesforce, for Sales Ops): Ask from whatever tab you are in. Read-only, using the session you are already signed in with, so there is no separate login and no export step.
- **Find the related thread you would never have searched for** (Gmail, for Deal Desk): Connect the request in front of you to the earlier conversations about it, including the ones inbox search will not surface.
- **Get the answer out of the ticket nobody remembers filing** (Jira, for Sales Ops): Ask in plain language and get the history, without knowing the project structure or the query syntax.

## Security And Privacy

- **Your chats are not stored on our servers**: Conversation history and page contents stay on your device. When the panel reads a system you are signed in to, it uses the session your browser already has, so those credentials never reach us either. We collect your email domain and anonymized usage statistics, never what is on your pages.
- **It asks before it acts**: Anything beyond reading what you attached, including any change made on your behalf, needs your confirmation first. You can allow it once, allow it always, or refuse.

## Limitations

- **It works on what you can see**: The panel reads the active tab and any tabs the user explicitly attaches, plus the services the user has connected. It does not read other open tabs.
