Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information for analytics and to infer improvements to the AI Side Panel:

• Email domain: Used for understanding enterprise usage. For example, if your email is john@example.com, only "example.com" is collected.
• Anonymized usage statistics: We collect anonymized stats such as domain names of URLs you use the AI Side Panel on (active tab and explicitly attached tabs, like "docs.google.com", without any other URL parameters), toggle status for Web Search. Note that these stats are collected anonymized, e.g. not associated with your email address.
• Retention policy: all collected data older than 365 days are being removed automatically.

Tab content. The AI Side Panel reads the content of your active tab and of any tabs you explicitly attach. It does not read the content of any other tab unless you allow it, either once or by choosing to always allow that site. Your choice is remembered in your browser.

Your other open tabs. A list of them is sent with your question so the AI Side Panel can offer a page you already have open. Nothing is read from those pages without your permission.

We do not collect or store your browsing content, tab contents, or conversation history on our servers, as these are kept locally on your device. We use your email address only for Google authentication. If you choose to connect an account such as Google Calendar, the resulting credentials are held in enterprise-grade cloud secret storage, and you can disconnect at any time to delete them.

2. Local Storage of Conversations

Conversation history is stored locally in your browser. This means:

• It stays on your device.
• If you clear your browser data, switch browsers, or change computers, your history will be lost.
• We do not have access to your local conversation history.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.

4. Connected Google Accounts

If you connect Google Calendar, the AI Side Panel reads your calendar events and availability to answer your requests. Calendar data is used in the moment and not stored on our servers, and it is never used to train AI models. Disconnect at any time from your settings page to revoke access.

The AI Side Panel’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We do not use cookies or third-party trackers for advertising or analytics.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security practices to help protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls.

7. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes to this Privacy Policy through the Chrome Web Store and/or email.
