Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information for analytics and to infer improvements to the AI Side Panel:

• Email domain: Used for understanding enterprise usage. For example, if your email is john@example.com, only "example.com" is collected.
• Anonymized usage statistics: We collect anonymized stats such as domain names of URLs you use the AI Side Panel on (active tab and explicitly attached tabs, like "docs.google.com", without any other URL parameters), toggle status for Web Search. Note that these stats are collected anonymized, e.g. not associated with your email address.
• Retention policy: all collected data older than 365 days are being removed automatically.

The AI Side Panel only accesses the content of your currently active tab and any tabs you explicitly attach. It does not read content from any other tabs.

We do not collect or store your browsing content, tab contents, or conversation history on our servers, as these are kept locally on your device. We use your email address only for Google authentication, and do not store security tokens.

2. Local Storage of Conversations

Conversation history is stored locally in your browser. This means:

• It stays on your device.
• If you clear your browser data, switch browsers, or change computers, your history will be lost.
• We do not have access to your local conversation history.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We do not use cookies or third-party trackers for advertising or analytics.

5. Security

We use industry-standard security practices to help protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls.

6. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes to this Privacy Policy through the Chrome Web Store and/or email.
